Additional staging with backups
No more overwrites or blocked workflows. With the Raidboxes Staging Add-on, you can work in two fully independent WordPress staging environments and deploy changes securely to the live website.
- An additional staging environment with its own backup system (automatic and manual)
- From dev to live and back: Transfer changes between environments in either direction
- Test changes risk-free before they go live

Our new staging ddd-on
Why you need our staging add-on?
Without the staging add-on
- With just a single WordPress staging environment (standard), you can only test one thing at a time. If you want to try something new, you have to overwrite the existing environment. Whatever was there before is gone.
- You can only carry out deployments in one direction, for example from staging to live. Need a hotfix on the live system? Then you either have to improvise or risk overwriting ongoing development work.
With the staging add-on
- With this add-on, you have a total of two WordPress staging environments with separate backups. These enable a clear, structured workflow: Development, Staging, Live.
- Changes and data can be flexibly synchronised between Dev, Staging and Live. This significantly speeds up development, testing and releases, as there is no longer any need for manual back-and-forth.
Why you need both
Why do I need two staging environments?
Example 1: Feature development vs. bug fixing
- Environment 1: Develop new features and roll them out live
- Environment 2: Fix bugs in a safe environment and go live
Example 2: Testing two different themes and showing them to customers
- Environment 1: Testing a minimalist theme for a customer project
- Environment 2: Testing a playful theme for a customer project
Flexible development at last
Your advantages at a glance
The second staging environment resolves conflicts, overrides and waiting times. Specifically:
Parallel and flexible working
With two staging environments, you can work on different tasks at the same time. While bugs are being fixed in one environment, development work continues undisturbed in the other – full flexibility.
Add fixes and features securely
Problems in the live system? Simply clone the live system into a staging environment, fix the bug there and deploy the solution back – this will keep the product stable and your users won’t experience any downtime.
Test major updates safely
Before major updates are rolled out, you can test them in an isolated environment. Compare, check and roll back in an emergency – without risk to ongoing projects or existing functions.
