How it all began
The Raidboxes story
2013
Our founders, Torben and Johannes, are tired of the fact that good WordPress hosting is only available from the U.S. Their goal: fast, secure, and easy WordPress hosting from Germany.
2016
After two years of intensive development, Raidboxes received its first seed investment from the High-Tech-Gründerfonds and quickly rose to become the No. 1 WordPress hosting provider in the DACH region.
2019
The Raidboxes team is growing to 25 people. As experts in managed WordPress hosting with well over 10,000 customers, we’ve become very popular among professionals.
2021
We now have a team of 45 people. We’ve moved into our new office on Hafenstraße in Münster. We also offer the option to work 100% remotely.
2022
We’re growing to a team of 50. We also host over 16,500 customers and more than 35,000 websites. Another milestone: Raidboxes is merging with team.blue.
2024
Another exciting milestone: the launch of our new infrastructure, Raidboxes 2.0: New servers, double the performance in our most popular plans, and enhanced security features.
2025
After 10 wonderful years, our two founders, Johannes and Torben, are handing over the management of Raidboxes to Christian Klapka (you can watch the full interview in news video (German)).
