With any of our plans, you can create and manage a WordPress website (Box) with us.

All our plans include unlimited free WordPress migrations. Fill in our migration form and our support team will take care of moving your website. Alternatively, you can move your website yourself if you prefer (see the help center article).

There are two ways to transfer your domain: either you can transfer your domain to us yourself (see help center), or we can transfer your domain to us via an automated process (unlimited). Please feel free to contact Support for this.

Increases the available SSD storage on your box for large projects, media libraries, and data-intensive plugins. Your website remains fast and stable (see help center).

Our virtualisation solution ensures that your website has sufficient computing power at all times and prevents bad neighbour effects.

Shared cores distribute computing power fairly among other WordPress boxes on the server hardware. You can easily handle short-term spikes in traffic; performance may vary only under sustained full load, in which case we recommend dedicated cores. With dedicated cores, you benefit from maximum performance because the cores are exclusively at your disposal. This means: no shared resources and always full computing power—regardless of whether you use it all or not.

More RAM (Random Access Memory) improves the speed and responsiveness of your website by allowing the server to process data faster and run applications more efficiently.

Advanced caching only empties the customised pages and the content linked to them when you make changes to your website. This ensures that your website continues to be delivered quickly. For larger shops, we recommend more caching memory depending on the size of the product catalogue.

If you run an online shop (e.g. using WooCommerce), we recommend that you opt for at least the Pro plan, given the requirements.

If you run a website with particularly high traffic – for example, due to major product launches, influencer campaigns or TV adverts – we recommend that you opt for at least the Pro XL plan, given the performance requirements. By the way, you can also arrange temporary upgrades with us for periods of high traffic (see help center).

For membership websites (e.g. using BuddyPress), we recommend our Business plan due to the requirements involved. If your website’s requirements exceed those of the Business plan, our sales team will be happy to advise you on our Enterprise solutions.

With Single Sign-On (SSO), you can log in to a WordPress website with just one click from the Raidboxes dashboard (see help center). This means you basically only need one password for all your projects (the one for your Raidboxes account), which you can in turn secure with two-factor authentication.

To help you debug errors and issues on your site effectively, the Box Status naturally also gives you access to all your site’s logs: the Error Log, the Debug Log and the Access Log (see help center).

HTTP/2 is a modern web standard for communication between browsers and servers. It enables more efficient data transfer and ensures faster loading times.

At Raidboxes, SSL is enabled by default for all boxes. Your website is automatically protected with a free Let’s Encrypt certificate. (Find out more in the help center.) If required, you can also upload your own SSL certificate (see the help center).

If your website is hosted with us, you should enter into a data processing agreement (DPA, formerly ADV) with us. This applies to all your websites, so it only needs to be signed once for each account (see help center).

Every Raidboxes plan includes a free staging environment (see help center), where you can test changes such as plugins, themes or designs conveniently and risk-free. You might also find this useful: you cannot test WordPress or PHP versions in a staging environment – please use a cloned box for this (see help center).

With the Staging add-on, you can create two staging environments within a single Box—for example, to set up a complete development workflow with development, staging, and production environments (see help center).

Clone existing WordPress websites (see help center) or start new projects using custom templates – quickly, consistently and without duplication of effort (see help center).

We roll out major WordPress updates after a 14-day waiting period to ensure that important security patches and bug fixes are incorporated. If you wish, you can also initiate the update yourself at any time before then. We usually install minor updates within 48 hours of their release (see help center).

You can specify exactly which of your extensions you want us to update and whether you’d like to be notified of updates by email (see the help center).

If you manage several websites in your account (e.g. as an agency), you’ll be familiar with the effort involved in administrative tasks such as manually updating WordPress versions across any number of boxes at the same time (find out more in the help center).

You can use SSH (Secure Shell) to establish an encrypted connection between your computer and the server’s command line (shell) (see help center). The WordPress Command Line Interface (WP-CLI) is a command-line interface that allows you to run commands (e.g. updating plugins) within your WordPress installation.

Would you like to run a specific script at a specific time? If so, you can do this using cron jobs (see the help center).

You have full control over your website: edit the .htaccess file directly and implement custom redirects, security rules or performance tweaks. Please note: as this involves making significant changes to your website, we only recommend this for WordPress professionals.

The PHP memory limit determines how much RAM your box reserves for PHP processes. You can adjust this in Raidboxes if needed (see help center).

PHP workers are background processes on a web server that execute PHP code. They handle dynamic requests (e.g. loading pages, processing forms or executing database queries).

Our Performance Burst Mode gives your Box resources over and above your booked quota at short notice, so that your website remains accessible even during short-term load peaks (see help center).

Minifies text files such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript on the web, enabling websites to load faster and use less bandwidth (see help center).
