Frequently asked questions about our performance test

• Why does Raidboxes offer performance comparisons?

  With the results of our before and after performance test, we want to show you as objectively and transparently as possible how quickly your website would load from our servers. And that’s without any additional optimisations. If you carry out these additional optimisations, you can get even more out of your website performance. We’ll give you some optimisation tips that you can implement on your own.

• What does the performance test show you?

  Frontend Speed:

  • SpeedIndex: The SpeedIndex indicates how quickly the visible content of your website is loaded. It shows how smoothly users can perceive the content – the lower the value, the better.
  • Time to First Byte (TTFB): The Time to First Byte measures the time it takes your server to respond to the first request. It shows how quickly your server responds to a connection, which is an important factor for the overall loading speed.

  Backend speed: WordPress backend performance affects the administration and editing of your website and therefore your daily work. We measure the loading times of the WordPress admin dashboard, the pages and the WooCommerce product pages (if available). These values provide you with information on how quickly and efficiently you can work with your website, be it when creating content, navigating in the backend or managing products.

• How do you benefit from the performance test?

  You’re not 100% satisfied with the performance of your current host, but you don’t know whether a change would make a difference? With our before and after test, you have the measurement results free of charge and without risk – in black and white. We also give you tips on how you can further optimise your website to really get the most out of it and improve your conversions.

  After the performance test, your Raidboxes website copy is still available for you for up to 14 days and you can test Raidboxes for free. Have a look around the Raidboxes dashboard, test our staging environment or our WordPress templates feature. At the end of the trial period, your website will be automatically deleted. Or you can activate a contract with Raidboxes and connect your website to your domain with us.

• What data is required for the test migration with performance tests?

  For our WordPress migration service, we need the login details for your website or shop. You can provide us with these conveniently and securely in the relocation form. Important: We need WP Admin rights for this. You can, for example, create your own WordPress account for our team and delete it again after the move.

  If the login is also protected by password protection (.htaccess), you can also enter this access data in the move form. If you use other functions to protect the login area (e.g. two-factor authentication), please deactivate them. FTP access data is generally not required for the managed move.
